
Burton set to play in his 500th regualr season game
The Goderich Pirates host the Tavistock Royals this Friday December 23. The game has been moved to the Memorial arena for the Pirates Christmas dance to follow the game up in the auditorium. The game also starts at 8pm instead of the normal 8:30pm time the Pirates usually start their home games.
Pirates forward Sean Burton will be playing in his 500th regular season game this Friday night. No other player in the WOAA Senior hockey league has ever played in 500 regular season games. Sean Burton will now add another record to his Senior hockey career. Burton also currently holds the record for the most regualr season points. He currently has 494 goals and 501 assist for a total of 995 points in 499 regualr season contest. His goal is to reach the 1000 point mark for his career. He is hoping to acheive that mark this season. The Pirates currently have 10 games remaining on their regular season schedule. Burton currently has 8 points in 14 regular season games this year so far. Everyone in the Pirates organization is hoping Sean can reach his goal of 1000 points because the team knows how much it means to him.
